We invest those millions:
- to house our truck service operations in shops with the capacity to handle demand. Cat’s share of the truck-engine market grew rapidly in the 1990s, and Empire more than doubled the number of bays to cover the increased load.
- to maintain a multi-million dollar inventory of parts specifically for truck engines. 98% of the parts required in an average month are in Empire’s inventory. The parts we don’t have are rarely more than 24 hours away, thanks to Caterpillar’s incredible parts network and our own fleet of transport trucks.
- to set up our shops with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to help us pinpoint the source of engine problems quickly and efficiently. That equipment, including dynos in Phoenix and Tucson, also allows us to test our repairs to make sure an engine is performing at its peak before it leaves the shop.
- to train our technicians to work with modern engines and tooling. Diesel engine technology is advancing at high speed to keep up with environmental regulations. Our technicians receive continual training in new technologies from instructor-experts at the Empire Regional Training Center in Mesa.
You have a variety of options when your Cat engine needs repairs or maintenance. We want to be your only option when your top priority is to have the work done right and done fast.

(Left) Sophisticated computer-controlled electronics make Cat engines the industry's top performers in fuel economy and emission reduction. Our technicians get the training they need to take full advantage of the tools used to keep those engines performing at their peak.
The Empire Power Systems shop on 43rd Avenue in Phoenix features 17 bays and 17 technicians dedicated to truck engine service.
