Content Creation
There are plenty of gimmicks out there that promise to drive traffic to your website. Some actually work. Still, the best way to attract people to your site is to offer content that is attractive, professional and useful to the viewer. We are marketing experts, and we understand that one key to marketing success is providing value to the customer. We can help you make the content on your site relevant and useful to your audience. That goes for all content: the words, the photos and the other graphic elements.
Domains and Hosting
We are not a hosting or domain registry service, but we work closely with other businesses that provide those services. We can recommend hosting companies and take care of the details to help you find a place for your site to live on the internet. We will make sure the host performs to your expectations. You don't need to know anything about how the system works. We have technical geeks who know the playing field.
Samples of Sites and Pages
SteelCrest Registers and Grilles: The Interactive Design Center included with this commercial site uses a Flash slideshow feature to allow users to choose a register design and view it in any of the available color coatings. Creative License also built a second website to serve as an intranet for SteelCrest and distributors of its products in the United States. The intranet allows registered users to log in and see content that is specific to their requirements.
The Railroad Factory: This Tempe company builds the recreational trains used in theme parks, zoos and tourist spots all over the world. Their largest train is a 3/4 scale steam locomative replica with a capacity of 360 adult passengers. The site serves as a showcase for the large trains, and it includes an online store where hobbyists can buy rideable miniature trains and the track and signals to create their own layout.
New Beginnings: This site combines a Christian ministry with an emphasis on physical and emotional health and fitness. The site, including the Flash introductory page, was designed and created by Creative License.
Westwood Dental Center: This is a simple site, designed to provide a source of information for prospective patients and a point of contact for existing patients.
Flash Animations
Most internet users are familiar with the annoying strobe-light style animations often used to draw attention to advertising on a page. We can do that, but we focus our efforts on less intrusive animations. Here are some samples:.
Animaniacs: This animation was created for a site selling custom illustrations for children's literature.
SteelCrest Introductory Page: This animation was built to serve as the intro page for a home-decor products company. It's a complex animation with dozens of keyframes, and it loads slowly on anything other than a very fast internet connection.
Racetrack: A regional bank wanted an animation to illustrate how much faster and more convenient their online deposit system is when compared to the traditional method of driving to the bank to make a deposit.
Interactive Design Center: The client wanted visitors to be able to view all the designs available and all the possible color coatings. There is no animation involved, but the pages use Flash to allow users to click a thumbnail or color to change the large image on the page.
Video on Your Site
With more and more home computers hooked up to broadband connections, video has grown into a popular option for sites, both commercial and personal. Converting video to look good on the web and to work properly with various browsers and operating systems is still a challenge. We can take your video to your website. You can have streaming or progressive video in your choice of formats (Flash, Quicktime, Windows Media). We can even set up your site to produce and distribute live streaming video.
Here are samples of various options for video on the web. Videos can be configured to run at any size, including full-screen. Large, high-quality video will take time to load, even on fast internet connections.
Flash video embedded on the page. The primary advantage with Flash is the large installed base of computers that can view Flash without the need to download other players. YouTube videos are in Flash video format, and the popularity of YouTube videos has made Flash the dominant player in the field.
A Quicktime file - Clicking this link opens a new browser window with the file. Computers must have Quicktime installed to play this video. Nearly all Macintosh computers have Quicktime, and it can be freely downloaded for Windows computers.
A WMV file - WMV is the format for Windows Media Player. Newer versions of Windows will usually have Windows Media Player installed, and the player can be freely downloaded for both Windows and Macintosh systems.
